Ladies in mustaches support the gentlemen

Nothing says prostate cancer research like a mustache.

At least that's how The World-Herald men who grew mustaches for "Movember" have justified their ridiculous facial hair for the past month.

The Movember movement encourages men to grow mustaches during November, register as a team or individual online, and collect pledges that go toward supporting men's health initiatives, particularly prostate and testicular cancer research.

The World-Herald team, in all its mustache glory, raised more than $1,100 for the cause.

And because we ladies in the newsroom know husbands, brothers, fathers and friends fighting these diseases, we wanted to say thank you and congratulations to the gentlemen.

We rocked mustaches of our own (though far less natural) for the oh-so-ladylike portrait seen above.

Although November has passed, it's not too late to donate to The World-Herald team or the cause in general. Click here for more information.
