Omaha is the most hungover city in the United States, according to businessinsider.com.
On New Year's Day, the website released a list of the 25 most hungover cities, just as some readers were likely still nursing hangovers of their own. Omaha took the top spot on the list, over party capitals New Orleans and Las Vegas, as well as St. Louis, Chicago, Denver, Portland and San Francisco, among others.
The website based its rankings on two sets of data -- the number of bars per 10,000 households (in Omaha's case, the number is 8.3), and the percentage of residents who admitted to binge drinking in the past year in a recent Centers for Disease Control survey (in Omaha's case, 19.5).
The CDC defines binge drinking as consuming five or more alcoholic drinks in one sitting for men, and four or more drinks at a sitting for women.
