Two top prospects join Storm Chasers
The Omaha Storm Chasers just hit into a prospect double play. And that's a good thing for the Class AAA team. Two of the top prospects in minor league baseball were promoted to Omaha from Class AA Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday.

Omaha didn’t have much time to relish its eighth-inning rally Tuesday afternoon. But the Storm Chasers didn’t have much time to relish their ninth-inning comeback from late Monday night against Fresno, either, when the Grizzlies turned the tables on Omaha with their 6-4 win PCL win.

Chasers storm back at Fresno
Derrick Robinson drove in the game-winning run during a five-run ninth inning as Omaha rallied to top Fresno 8-5 Monday. The Storm Chasers improved to 25-14 overall and 3-4 on their road swing through California. Trailing by two entering the ninth and facing one of the league's best closers in Heath Hembree, the Storm Chasers produced the decisive runs with only two hits, including David Lough's leadoff single.

A season-high six errors were too much for Omaha to overcome as the Storm Chasers dropped a 9-4 game at Sacramento on Thursday. The Chasers slipped to 22-13 after their third straight loss. The five-run setback was their largest margin of defeat this season.

Storm Chasers hit with another walk-off defeat
Walk-off games are becoming a habit for Omaha — a bad habit as of late. Sacramento's Derek Norris hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the River Cats a 4-2 PCL victory Wednesday. The Storm Chasers (22-12), who tied the game with a two-out, two-run rally in the top of the ninth, have lost two straight on walk-off home runs to Sacramento.

Chasers suffer walk-off defeat
Josh Donaldson hit a solo homer with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Sacramento a 4-3 victory against Omaha on Tuesday, snapping the Storm Chasers’ five-game winning streak. The Chasers suffered their fourth walk-off defeat in a week and a half. Six of Omaha’s last 10 games have been decided in the final at-bat.

Being Mike Jirschele these days seems like a pretty good gig. The Omaha Storm Chasers manager gave leadoff hitter Jason Bourgeois the day off, moved two batters up in the order and jumped hot-hitting David Lough from the No. 6 spot to No. 3 for the first time all year.
